What to Expect

What to Expect as a Student at Boulder Creek Academy

Your day will be highly structured. You will be busy with academic work, therapy, participating in physical education activities, outdoor activities, and recreation.

You will reside in a comfortable and homey dorm along with other students of the same gender. You will be assigned a bed and you will have your own closet space and dresser to house your belongings. The bathrooms have numerous shower stalls, sinks, mirrors and toilets for your accommodation.

Our staff is actively involved in the daily life of students. They can be found playing chess with a group of students by the fireplace, involved in a game of flag football, taking a moment to process an issue that may have arisen for a student or sharing a meal with students.

During the week, you will focus on academic study, as well as, participating in therapy, physical education and recreational programming. Please see our daily schedule for more details. On weekends, you have the opportunity to sleep in and enjoy brunch. The day is filled with on-and off-campus activities, community service projects, chores and social time.

Balanced student life is important for each adolescent that attends our school. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment at Boulder Creek Academy. Upon enrollment, you will be introduced to a student who will be your mentor and introduce you to other students and staff; show you around campus; help familiarize you with our campus agreements and answer any and all questions.
