Where is Boulder Creek Academy?

Boulder Creek Academy is located in the Kootenai River Valley at the base of the pristine Cabinet Mountains. The geography and four-season climate offer our students multiple recreation activities. We love downhill and cross-country skiing, swimming, boating, camping, hiking, biking and more.

Located just twenty-five miles south of the Canadian border, the small town of Bonners Ferry is known as the International Gateway to Idaho and has also been honored as “Idaho’s Most Friendly Community.”

The larger community of Sandpoint is nearby as well and has been voted as the country’s most beautiful small town by both USA Today and Rand McNally. Situated on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, the fifth largest lake in the western United States, and surrounded by the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountain ranges, Sandpoint is also home to Schweitzer Mountain, a world-class destination ski resort. Sandpoint enjoys a rich cultural life, including an internationally acclaimed two-week long music festival every summer.

The nearest “big city” is Spokane, Washington, home to Spokane International Airport. Spokane’s history is as rich and vibrant as the city itself. Downtown features wonderfully preserved brick buildings, great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The Spokane River rushes right through the heart of downtown.
